Best tea we brought back to Blighty, (Bhelati), is Assam. You need to find who sells the tips from Assam. Pwopa bwew.

I agree with Lily. Assam is proper tea - good builders strength.

Go to B&M.

Find the best offer you can on PG Tips, Tetley's or Typhoo. Buy those.

Don't be tempted by Yorkshire Tea as it is weak as piss.

For some reason, supermarket own-brand coffee is vaguely drinkable, but their tea isn't. It probably comes from the Yorkshire Tea Company.

If you are a snob, buy a very small packet of Jackson's or Twinings English Breakfast Tea to serve to any visitors who might chance to look in your larder. If anyone asks for Earl Grey, look pityingly at them.

Another tip - don't trust Nursey's recommendation of her Punnany.

Re: Best Teas...???
Rude.

Judging by Tex's mention of OF Tips, etc, I assumed he was looking for a brand, not a particular type (e.g. Assam)

When abroad, pretty much the only decent teabags I can get are Liptons Yellow label. They seem to be almost everywhere abroad.

Twinings English Breakfast is ok. But Aldi's own brand red label i the best

PG Tips?

*heaves*

Nurse is on the money, and if I'm not mistaken, she got some Punjana on board on my recommendation. They're the best bar none.

Was in Sri Lanka and had the best tea ever .

Cost about 2 quid for a kilo , and that was tourist price .

Tea should be in a pot , not bags.

Re: Best Teas...???
We use the pot when we have time and leisure to do so. Loose leaves. But we're often rushing about.

Re: Best Teas...???
When she has time, Nursey likes to have her Punnany on the pot.

This is getting worse if you ask me...

Earl Grey is disgusting. It's like drinking warm Dettol or Zoflora.

Tex said no silly flavours.

Darjeeling is worse. It tastes like perfume.

Never tried it. Thanks for the warning.
